The climate crisis has reached a critical point and we have less than 10 years to halt global warming or face the consequences of catastrophic climate change.

The world's leading climate scientists say that we must get carbon dioxide levels below 350 ppm (which is what levels were in the 1970's) and probably down to 300-320ppm eventually. Currently atmospheric carbon dioxide is above 385 ppm and rising by about 2 ppm per year.

This means we must cut carbon emissions globally to zero globally and in addition to that we must find ways to remove existing carbon dioxide from the air.

The solution is to end our dependence on fossil fuels like oil and coal and completely repower the economy with clean energy like solar, wind, wave and geothermal energy.

We can generate more than enough energy to meet our needs using wind, solar, geothermal, tidal and wave power. Clean coal technology, biofuels or nuclear energy are not the answer. We must use electricity and hydrogen cell technology (hydrogen generated from clean energy) to power our cars and transportation.

Switching our economy to clean energy will only strengthen it.

We also need to stop deforestation, because plants are the most important way to remove carbon dioxide from the air.
